The Sickle Cell Tennis Classic Committee, would like to offer your organization an opportunity to sponsor the 33rd  ANNUAL SICKLE CELL TENNIS CLASSIC to be held for a two-weekend period starting Saturday July 31, 2010.

The Tournament is a great way to gain visibility as a supporter of the Delaware community’s effort to raise funds for Sickle Cell Research and Education.  The tournament is a fun time for local residents as well as visitors from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.  The games are highly competitive and from the positive comments each year, a "great time is had by all"! The winners proudly display their trophies.  Last year, nearly 300 players competed in over 500 matches.

Each year, one in four hundred black children are born with the Sickle Cell disease. Specific details concerning Sickle Cell disease, Tournament History and Financial Participation, along with the role of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Zeta Omega Chapter in this event are on this page for your  review.

Thank you for your consideration in becoming involved in fighting this disease for which, thus far, has no known cure.  Only through continuous research can we hope to find a cure.  You can be a vital part of this hope by becoming a sponsor in this year's SICKLE CELL TENNIS CLASSIC.

For further information, please contact Annie Young at 302-731-0525 or James Monk Fundraising Co-Chairman at 302-323-0161.  We look forward to partnering with you.

Sincerely,
